It's now a month into year 2020... Happy New Year to everyone!
I know it was not an easy start of the year due to some tragic events all over the world, but I still wish a very good year for everyone. It's now second day of Feb so hoping everything will change into a positive one. For this new year, I stop making new years resolutions as i tend to jinx myself. I haven't sat down to write my goals for this year. I think writing goals don't matter to me anymore. y procrastination always gets the best of me. To start, I had been planning to be more active in my blog for the looonggeeest time but still, that didn't happen.

March 1, 2016, I arrived in London. Looking back, I felt a sense of excitement and disbelief as I trek my way out of Heathrow airport. I can't believe I have stepped foot in Europe! I was filled with gratitude but I remided myself not to get too emotional as I still need to find my hostel. :D
I made my way to the Underground Piccadilly line with my big 20-L backpack and cabin size luggage trolley. I changed to the Jubilee line at GreenPark and alight at Swiss Cottage Station. I then walked to find my hostel Palmer's Lodge to wait for my friend Dimsk to arrive there that day as well. I got a little lost finding tthe hostel as there is no visible sign and it looked like an old English school on the outside. A good Samaritan might have noticed me being lost in the rain and stopped to help me. It was a really good start despite of the rainy weather. I was happy to meet up with Dimsk. I also love r hostel as it is a very old English building including the interiors. Their lounge area was very cozy and relaxing. It seems lots of young people stayed at the hostel. One fine day, I had the opportunity to do some photo walk after work. We were given half days every Friday to study for our Azure exam and one fine Friday, I decided to bring my camera and explore parts of Melbourne. I always love Shrine of Remembrance so I started from there. The weather was also lovely that day.
It's a belated Happy 2019! :D
I started this post in January 2019 and as usual, my poor time management got in the way..sigh, Nevertheless, better late than never! It's now 3rd week of March, I hope everyone has a happy start this year. I always like looking back the year that was. It reminds me of what has been and how far I have become. Somehow, it gives me comfort whenever I feel frustrated or lacking. It was busy anxiety-filled months for me. I’ve been meaning to blog but didn’t had the chance. The courses I took last yr finally caught up to me. It was a struggle to balance everything! I took an online management course and I had been trying to catch up with my assessment deadlines. I’m like months overdue already. I was so naive to think that online courses are there forever depending on your time and availability.... ehrmmm big NO. My online course is only good for one year lol The course ended last month and I’m currently into my 2 months extension. So after this blog post I’ll try to finish my 1/3 assessment left. We have 2-week break from school and we were just done with making pants including denim pants. It was a bit easier than the skirt lessons but it was still a whole new thing to learn. I am not sure if I could easily create one from scratch but I will surely try.
I know this post is like 1 week late but I still feel the aftershock of Anthony Bourdain's passing. Before I got hooked with travel vlogs, it was his shows Parts Unknown and No Reservations which helped propel my passion for travel. His raw, funny, honest and brutal take on travel, culture and food always make me want to take the road less travelled. I've mentioned before that I am very much interested in Fashion Design. I know working in IT field is a stark contrast with the creative field of Fashion, but wanting to be a Fashion designer has always been at the back of my mind. I may say working in IT killed whatever creativity I had in me :)).... yet I was always wondering if I really had it in me and if I could resurrect it. Anyways, I took the leap and enrolled in a certificate course pathway of Fashion Design. We went to Tesselaar Kabloom Flower Festival today and it was worth our long commute. I only knew of their yearly Tulip Festival in September which is Spring, so I was surprised to know they also have flower festival this month which is Autumn. It is already the 4th month of 2018. I started a draft of this post in January but never get to finish. Looking back, it felt like 2017 went by so fast. A lot had happened but everything went by like a blur. It was the year where I left my comfort zone in SG and faced the uncertainty of life in Australia...
