I spent my second day on a Phi Phi Island tour. Maya bay is where Leonardo di Caprio found paradise in the film The Beach. I was very excited for this tour! I cant find any good Maya Bay clip so decided to just share All Saints - Pure Shores MTV instead.... I love breakfast buffets! Everytime I book hotels, I make sure breakfast buffet is included in the booking. Centara Anda's breakfasat spread was ok. They have western and few thai dishes. So far I enjoyed it. The dining area is also lovely as you can opt to dine in an open air setting or you can settle inside the restaurant in a more closed setting. I dined in the open area since its beside a lovely pond but downside was the birds circling around waiting to pick on your food... The tour picked me up from my hotel and off we went island hopping via speedboat. You also have an option to tour via longtail boat but its slower albeit cheaper. I was mesmerized by the sight of these islands. They are so beautiful! They seem to be floating in the crystal blue/green waters. Our first stop was Bamboo island, which I find so relaxing. The fine powdery beach stretched so long and wide. We were the first group to arrive so for a quick moment, we had the whole island to ourselves. I can spend a day there just lying on the beach, reading a book. Sadly, we only had a short stay in Bamboo island. It was not enough for me. If given the chance, I would like to stay a good full day just chillin in the island. Our next stop was the more famous Maya Bay. We passed by this cave along the way. Maya Bay is indeed a sight to behold! The water is crystal clear and the backdrop of those massive rock formation is just amazing. It felt surreal seeing this beauty. I like Maya Bay a lot but its too crowded for me. All I did was to take pictures and chat with my tour mates. I also enjoyed posing around in my Soak Swimwear, which I ordered just days before my trip. :D Since Soak is based in Manila, I was not sure if they could send it to me in Singapore before my Krabi trip which was in two days. I told the owner my predicament and they shipped my swimwear as high priority (without extra charge). I was able to receive it the next day, a day before I left for Krabi. They were so efficient and professional! I made quite a few mistakes ordering via multiply but they were patient with me and were able to adjust what's necessary on their end. Soak swimwear is getting popular in the Philippines as lots of celebrities are a fan of their swimwears. They really have good stuffs. I didn't expect they will go the extra mile for an ordinary customer like me. It surely says a lot on their professionalism and efficiency. I love Soak! They have a facebook account and you can check them out here... I went along with this nice Thai mother & daughter who kinda adopted me throughout the tour. They must have thought I'm lonely being alone but really I am not..lol! I think that's a common misconception with solo travelers. Honestly, I feel genuinely happy. The kind of happiness wherein you don't need to shout to the world. You know deep inside how lucky and appreciative you are of life. I was just so thankful to be there and be given a chance to experience this kind of adventure. I am comfortable being with myseIf. Don't get me wrong though, I also enjoyed talking to them since they were very nice and I get to know them and their culture. The baby is the star of our tour...so adorable! I forgot the name of this town but this is where we had our lunch. It has narrow alleys lined up with stores and on your other side is a nice view of the Andaman sea. Our food were just ok by Thailand standards. If I was not full yet, i would have tried this pizza place. After lunch, we went snorkelling. I really find the world underneath the waters so calming and mysterious. I just love being surrounded by water. I don't mind snorkeling for hours but the only problem is, I don't know how to swim! Thank god for life vests! We dropped some of our tour mates on Railey island where they're staying. After that, the shuttle brought us to our respective hotels. I was so tired but fulfilled! I went to the hotel's somewhat famous barbecue dinner. It was delish! I got braver and ordered a cosmopolitan. There's a live band playing which I think were fellow pinoys. It was a well spent night. As I need to wake up early the next day, I decided to just check the pool out and call it a night.
