I have been wanting to write a post the whole day yesterday but I was so busy unpacking my stuff that I only get to do now..which is my birthday already. I am not fond of celebrating hence this is not a birthday post. :D
Guns N Roses
I arrived here in Australia last Febuary 13 and have been busy trying to settle down in this new country I now call home. Before I decided to be serious on starting my life here, I went to the Guns n Roses concert the next day I arrived! It was one amazing way to kick start my move here in Melbourne.
I know Axl is not as hot as before but they are still amazing! They certainly still have it! It was surreal to see the band I have been fangirling growing up! I super love their music! I never would have thought they could reunite nor I could see them perform live. I am just so happy to be there at that moment! :)
Melbourne White Night 2017
A friend I met in the PinoyAu forum invited me to come with them to celebrate the Melbourne White Night. The whole CBD was closed off and light shows were all over the famous landmarks in the city. Food trucks and street shows filled the city. There were also lots of people and the whole CBD swarmed with people. It was a nice treat as the light shows and installations were lovely! I didn't mind walking all over CBD with new friends!
I made a short visit to Sydney to attend to my friend's Oathtaking Ceremony. She was the one who pushed me to pursue the AU visa. She's really an inspiration to me and was glad to be part of her special day. She really defied odds and challenges just to pursue her AU migration and her great determination paid off. She's now an Aussie citizen! My Sydney trip was also a chance for me to visit friends and former Visa colleagues. It was a joy to see them as we all shred blood, sweat and tears in getting our Visas.
Strolling in Melbourne
I love the city of Melbourne! It is clean, multi-cultural, and lots of parks and garden. I mostly just stroll in the CBD but Melbourne has lots of amazing places to offer. I don't get to explore much since I was focused on job-hunting but someday I will fulfill my goal of doing photowalks in Melbourne. For now, here are some places I managed to visit.
I am a Filipina, formerly based in Singapore and is now living permanently in Melbourne. Yet, I am really a global citizen at heart. :)
