Last 2013, (blame in on the super cheap fare from Phils to HK) we had another family trip to HongKong. This time, we were with my Aunt whom we fondly call Madam Sal and her husband Tito Lesie. They are both based in Cebu and it was their first time in HK. They initially thought we were just touring HK, but knowing they're fond of casinos, I decided to add Macau to our itinerary. We arrived in the wee hours of morning at HongKong International Airport. We had no choice but to stay in the airport and wait for the first A11 bus which will start operating in few hours. I was anxious again as Tito Lesie was battling cancer so we were a bit worried for his health. Fortunately, he was very excited of our trip and was very energetic. At 06:10 AM, the first Cityflyer bus A11 to Macau Ferry Terminal arrived. It took us around 40 mins to reach the Ferry terminal. We then bought our Turbo jet tickets and waited for the ferry. We arrived in Macau Cotai Ferry Terminal after, I think, 30 mins. There were a lot of hotel shuttles outside the terminal. They are free so anyone, especially those who plans to do hotel hopping, could board it. We were staying in Venetian Hotel so and we boarded the big Venetian hotel shuttle. After few minutes, we arrived at the Venetian Hotel. Unfortunately, they told us we cant do an early check-in so we strolled around the mall and had lunch at the foodcourt. I knew Lord Stow's bakery was in the area and I was delighted to have my first taste of Macau's famous Portuguese egg tart. Everyone liked it that we bought few more boxes to bring to our room. Madam Sal and Tito Lesie decided to go to the casino since check-in time was around 2pm. Our room was so worth the wait! It was so grand and we felt like we were in a Victorian palace. Our Luxurious RoomI slept whole afternoon and its already night time when I woke up. My Aunt and Uncle were not in yet. I was so worried so I tried looking for them in the casino. After half an hour, I found them and they showed no signs of fatigue or sleepiness, especially Tito Lesie. I was so amazed. I guess casinos really are their happy place (err..fountain of youth).
