Last rainy Friday, I decided to leave work on the dot, and made a visit to the National Gallery of Victoria. They are currently having The House of Dior Exhibit, of which I was dying to see. I missed their Van Gogh Exhibit before so I said to myself I won't be missing this one. As I stepped foot inside the Exhibition room, I was greeted with a stunning, massive chandelier. As a lover of anything that sparkles, I was so giddy and excited. What made me more excited were the Dior couture gowns surrounding me. I was so inspired seeing these beautiful and intricate creations. They are a masterpiece! They are the perfect blend of fashion and art which can only comes from the mind of a genius. A part of me wants (dreams) of being a fashion designer. I kept pushing the thought away as I am not sure if I have what it takes to be in that field. I like to draw and sketch dresses but I am not very good at it. It's not something I always do or be passionate about... but the desire of pursuing this field never really went away. The House of Dior kinda reminded me why I wanted to be a Fashion Designer. I would love to make beautiful dresses! Now, I am starting to explore Fashion Design. I resumed my sewing class and I am planning to enroll in some short courses such as Pattern Making or Fashion Sketching. I need all the luck I can get as I don't really know what else I want to do... :)) Anyway, enough of my ramblings..it's time to showcase the iconic Dior dresses. ![]() The Exhibition runs from Aug. 27 to Nov. 27 at the National Gallery of Victoria.
