I have loads of travel plans so I recently gifted myself with a new camera. I hate carrying a heavy DSLR especially when I'm already tired from walking so I bought a mirrorless cam. I heard it is more compact and easy to carry around. When I was researching for an ideal camera to buy, one of my friends recommended Sony as the top brand for mirrorless cams. I am no hardcore photographer so I just want something which could take DSLR-like pics, but wont burn a hole in my pocket. I found Sony a6000 to meet all my requirements.I am so happy with my choice as I now love this camera! The picture quality is great and it is easy to use for a novice like me. Plus..plus it has built-in wifi so I can transfer my pics to my smartphone anytime. Singapore is such a beautiful place! Five years living here and I'm still in awe. I can't get enough of this beautiful country. I think it would be heaven for would-be photographers and it was really fun shooting at some of my favorite places here. Please pardon the amateurish pics as, obviously, I am still a photography noob. I'm hoping to greatly improve over time. I'm beginning to love photography and it was a great feeling stamping my pics with my watermark. Don't get me wrong, I don't think someone would attempt to steal my noob photos but my friend kept on emphasizing the importance of watermarks so without much prodding I obeyed..:D For the sake of learning photography my being a tourist in my second home began and I am reminded of how much I love this place. During one of my errands, I drifted off to Fort Canning. This place is like a very big park! It was very serene. There were few joggers, as well as couples having their prenup shots. I actually got lost trying to find an exit point..lol! I didn't expect this place to be huge! I finally found an exit to Clarke Quay and after hours of walking, I would just love to crawl home. I am no party girl. My usual hang out place is my room but I like the vibe in Clarke Quay. It's a great place to chill and have drinks after work. Its also an awesome place to watch the brightly-lit sampans ferry their passengers along the Singapore river. One famous landmark I enjoy taking pics at is the Marina bay and Skyline. I think most photographers love this place. A Singapore photowalk wouldn't be complete without venturing into this place. Overlooking Marina Bay is the Fullerton Hotel in Clifford Pier. I think this hotel is very luxe and elegant. I wish I could experience dining here someday. The place is just dreamy! Some of the pictures I took in other parts of SG using my friend's DSLR. I love this pic of our place. I wish the picture is more crisp though... I really hope I'll be able to take better or more professional looking pics. I am thinking of buying lens but I think its better to learn/master basics of photography first.
